ALMOST a direct drop in barrel. Feed ramp extends slightly too far into the magazine opening and is dinged by the magazine. Does not impeed functionality but bangs up the barrel and your magazines. Racking the slide by hand may result in inconsistent ejection of live rounds (and the last round in the magazine may not eject at all) but does not appear to be an issue when actually firing the gun.

I bought this barrel just to save a couple bucks and have some fun. I already had the holsters and the only other items I needed was magazines. I ordered 3 mags from two separate suppliers and was surprised to see the barrel arrived a couple days before any of the magazines. I took 6 mags with 102 rounds loaded and not a problem! Great service so far and I will be using them again.

This barrel is completely drop in. More accurate than the factory 40 cal. This is a must for shooters!!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!!

The Storm Lake barrel dropped right in and worked just as advertised. Ran thru 100 rds of white box with NO problems. Best bang for the buck. GunBarrelsSupply shipped extremely fast with GREAT pricing!! Have bookmarked this site! John

This barrel was/is a perfect "drop-in" fit for the S&W M&P .40. I also believe it to be an improved accuracy over the stock S&W barrel, although the caliber change may be contributing to that. Thanks.

This is a great barrel. Fit right into my M&P .40. I shoot very straight and accurate with this barrel. I''ve fired about 400 rounds through it so far with now issues using a variety of ammo.

I have fired about 200 rds through it so far and am very pleased with the Accuracy. It fit in very well, no fitting involved. No feed or ejection problems yet. I may get another guide rod and lighter spring so it ejects a little farther away. It only throws them about 2 feet right now.

Took 4 weeks to receive. Nice looking, well made, good fit. Just swap the barrel and use a 9mm magazine. I have shot 50 rounds of Federal 115g and 50 rounds of winchester 147g FMJ. Had one FTE with winchester. Brass was extracted but not ejected and the next round fed over it and jammed. If you cycle by hand the last round in the magazine often doesn''t get ejected. It falls off the extractor before it reaches the ejector. It might be happening when it bumps the mag lips. Very similar point of aim and accuracy as the 40 barrel. Fun, but I will keep the 40 barrel for bumps in the night.

Works well after 200-300 rounds of breakin. The first 200-300 rounds had some FTF and FTE. On the bright side, that helped me hone my malfunction handling skills.

Wow! ordered 9mm conversion barrel and two mags on Friday they were in my mailbox the next Monday. Dropped the barrel in the gun on Tuesday and burned up 50 rds. of WWB without in hitch. Great service and a pretty cool new toy
