I recieved my M&P40 very quickly and had a chance to run a couple of 100 round through it. The first thing that I did was fit my hand to the gun using the 3 sizes of grips shipped. I laso was surprised to see that the magazine release could be reversed to the oposite side for a left handed shooter, which I am. I did find out that even with the size Small grip, I still had a problem releasing the magazine. I feel the distance is a bit too far away. I have used ammunition from Winchester and Federal. Both performed flawlessly. I was given a box of Tula ammo from Russia. This ammunition should NOT be used. I had feed problems, jams, sparks coming out of the port upon ejecting the shell and ammunition that was not consistant in powder load. All in all, I would highly reccommend the M&P 40C for personal protection. Stick with good ammunition!
