I just bought a 6 ten shot 617. This is the best .22 that money can buy. Extremely attractive, and amazingly accurate. If you''re looking for a .22 handgun, you won''t do any better.

The 617 is of unbelievable quality. Some people will wonder why a 22 costs as much as a 357, but this gun is worth every penny. Just completely solid.

This is a great gun. It''s built very solid and made to last a lifetime, which is what you pay for when you buy a pricey Smith & Wesson Revolver. The accuracy is phenomonal out to 50 yds plus. I was hitting coyotes out to 75 yds and dropping them with 22. caliber Stinger ammo blazing along at a super hot at 1,585 feet per second out of my six inch barrel. Some coyotes that weighted as much as 70 pounds were dropped with ease like a lightning bolt had struck them. I feel that the long barrel added greatly to the accuracy and velocity of 22 cal Stinger ammo exiting which gave it an extra punch down range with authority. I believe that with high velocity 22 cal amunition in the form of CCI Stinger or Remington''s excellent yellow Jacket you have a viable self defense gun with a high capacity of ten rds in a pinch if need be. Im not saying it should be a first line defense gun but could fill in an emergency with confidence. Never under estimate the power of a hot 22 caliber handgun or rifle. The 22. caliber has killed more men in history since its inception than any other handgun caliber, don''t belive me than google it and you will get you answer. This is a top notch gun that I recommend 100 if you can afford it. Im a firm believer in that you pay for what you get. I will take quality over quanity any day of the week. Top Cop
