Held in place by a quick release lever, it is virtually impossible to accidentally engage the #40L Low Profile Rear Sight.

Excellent sight, works great on my Bushmaster M4. Be aware however, due to aperture height this sight requires a .040 taller front sight post, will not co-witness with standard M16/M4 front sight bead. Still a small problem, compared to the benefits gained. Dead-on repeatable zero''s and combat tested reliability.
