When I got this revolver, I took it to an indoor range and fired only twelve shots. Though it appeared to me that it fired about an inch low and about two inches to the left, I wasn''t going to change the sights for that.
My surprise was more the amount of recoil not that different from my .41 magnum with a six inch barrel.
After one week of owning the gun and a few days after firing it for the first time, I used it in the firing test for a concealed weapons permit. This required a timed firing starting with the gun in a holster. Under those conditions the gun had to be fired double action, something I rarely did with a revolver. The total firing consisted of 50 rounds at five different distances. I was using moon clips filled with 20 year old ammunition. I did have one hangup which I believe was my fault by not closing the chambers properly. Because of that I only fired 46 shots but got 42 into the target. The passing requirement was 35 of 50. Although the shot pattern was scattered compared to deliberate non-stressed single action firing, it was clear that no bandit was going to survive that engagement. Perhaps the most important thing is the ease of the trigger action, which allows you to stay on target without difficulty.
I found the internal locking system to be effective and without problems. I don''t understand the criticism I have read about the locking device. It just appears that there is some group out there who want a 105 recoilless rifle in every window.
I am not a fan of moon-clips.
