M642 Pro Series with the Ported barrel is great. Very controllable with +P rounds for fast follow up shots which is mandatory with a snub 38. I love the white dot front sight wiether one thinks they need it or not. Mine has an extended synethic grip for my pinky so my whole paw controls the gun in more than one ways. Recoil and a grabber. Last but not least trigger control. Excellent trigger. Thie is the best trigger I have every got from S&W. I have 6 right now but I have owned over 10 in my life time. Well worth all the money they want for this gun. If you want to bet your life by saving 200 dollars then go ahead and by a cheap revolver from someone else. As for me and my house I will but a Smith.
